KICA and TOKI Offices Closed

Happy Independence Day! KICA and TOKI offices will be closed Wednesday, July 4 in celebration of Independence Day.

Commercial work will be prohibited on-island Wednesday, July 4. The island will re-open to contractors Thursday, July 5 at 8 a.m.

Celebrate Fourth of July at The Sandcastle

Come celebrate our nation’s independence and get a look at the new and improved Sandcastle! The fun-filled day will include a delicious buffet by Cru Catering from 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., live music from 1-4 p.m. and the annual Kids Parade around the pool at 2 p.m.

Sand Sculpting Contest

Create a “Sandtastic” Sand Sculpture at this
annual event! Themes will be “Most Patriotic” and
“Most Creative.” Judging will begin promptly at

Concerts in the Courtyard

All summer long Timbers Kiawah is hosting Wednesday afternoon concerts with live music by Chris Dodson, Pop-up Art shows by Straight to Art, outdoor games, bites and complimentary libations. Join us in the Freshfield’s Village Courtyard, adjacent to the Timbers Kiawah Sales Gallery and Indigo Books. 6pm to 8pm

The Annual Patriotic Bike Parade!

Patriots of all ages are encouraged to join in the
parade on bikes, skates, roller blades, or by foot.
Parade decorations will be available at 5pm on
Sea Forest Drive near the East Beach Village.
The Kiawah Island Fire Department will lead
the parade, followed by Uncle Sam and the Lady
Liberty. The route leads participants down Sea
Forest Drive, from the East Beach Village, and
finishes at Night Heron Park, where everyone is
invited to join us for our Independence Festival.

Bike Parade Road Closures: On July 4, Sea Forest
Drive will be closed to thru traffic at the Sea
Forest Drive/East Beach Village intersection from
5:30pm until 6:30pm. In addition, residents and
guests in Mariners Watch and Windswept villas
will experience temporary road delays between
5:45pm – 6:15pm. For additional information,

Independence Festival in the Park

Let the fun begin! This festival will kick off
following the Annual Bike Parade at Night Heron
Park with many attractions for family and friends
to enjoy! Festivities include: live music, face
painting, jump castles, carnival games, and much
more! Food and beverage tickets will be on sale at
the park starting at 4pm and at the event. Food
will be served until 9:15pm, featuring a cookout
menu inspired by traditional holiday favorites.
Food prices range from $5 – $15. Night Heron
Grill will close for food service at 4pm, bar will
be open until 10pm.

Kiawah Sundown Festival

Enjoy the summer evening in Night Heron Park as the sun sets on the day. Live band, southern lawn games, inflatables, photo booth, games, and crafts are available throughout the evening. Night Heron Grill will be open until 8pm. Admission is complimentary, crafts available for purchase.
