2021 Board Election

The annual board election will take place at the beginning of 2021 to fill two seats on the Kiawah Island Community Association’s Board of Directors. The elected directors will begin a three-year term at the March 2021 Annual Meeting.

Candidates Apply – Oct. 8 – Nov. 20, 2020

The online application for board service will open Oct. 8 and close Nov. 20. KICA encourages part-time and full-time residents to apply. To balance the demographics and skillsets of the directors, next year the board is also seeking directors with financial experience and expertise, and women.

The Board Outreach and Education Committee will host two virtual informational sessions to provide interested association members with insight into what board service entails. Current board members will discuss the major issues the board addressed this past year, important upcoming concerns and projects, the time commitment, virtual participations options, and the challenges and rewards for serving this community. Explore what it may be like to serve this community before making a commitment.

Virtual Board Service Info Sessions: Thursday, Oct. 8 at 4 p.m. (formerly scheduled for Oct. 7) or Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m
