Caring for the Community

KICA owns and maintains nearly 1,000 acres of common residential and parkway land including 300 landscaped acres and parks; 119 lakes that encompass 342 acres; 56 linear miles of streets including curbs, gutters and subsurface drainage; and 18 miles of leisure trails and most boardwalks and beach access paths, in addition to numerous bridges, docks and viewing towers.

KICA’s administration and board work closely with the developer (Kiawah Partners), the town, the resort and conservancy to ensure that property values are maintained and community is cultivated. KICA offers recreational, educational and social programs, as well as private events at The Sandcastle. The entire island benefits from our 24/7 security services. We manage boat access at the Rhett’s Bluff Landing and kayak storage and launch at Cinder Creek. Our community outreach program, Kiawah Cares, has, and continues to positively impact thousands of lives on the Sea Islands. We offer an array of member services, including the Kiawah Shuttle Service by KICA, gate access, backflow testing, pine straw sales and more.

We provide a variety of communications services including a mobile app, monthly newsletter, weekly email updates, social media, text message alerts, etc.
